The Field Archaeology Department is currently preparing several reports following survey work conducted over the past year, including geophysical surveys at St Ouen and intertidal surveys at St Clement. These two reports are in progress and expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
A numismatic study is also scheduled for the last week of April, in collaboration with French colleague Dr Olivier Lempereur. He will be visiting Jersey to study some Roman coin hoards discovered across the island since the late 19th century. This work is being carried out in collaboration with Jersey Heritage, particularly Olga Finch (Curator of Archaeology, Jersey Heritage), who is facilitating access to the material. The study will involve photographic recording and identification, offering new insights into these Roman coin deposits.
