The month of June has been yielded many interesting plants.   Ophrys apifera Bee Orchid, a single plant was found at Noir Pre, conveniently next to the path.  This is a new location for a Bee Orchid and very welcome because the previous known sites had no Bee Orchids this year.

Verbascum phlomoides Orange Mullein, a tall flowering plant was found in Bob Hogge’s Bee Field. This is the first record of this splendid plant on Jersey

One of our Section members had some imported soil added to her garden and was rewarded with a magnificent Buttercup growing in her lawn.  This tall Buttercup turned out to be Ranunculus arvensis Corn Buttercup, a rare plant in the UK and rarely seen on Jersey
