You are invited to Regen Gathering this 11–12th September, a festival that celebrates Jersey farming, food and growing.
This year’s programme is very practical based, with lots of in-field sessions across both days. It’s about learning, networking, and walking away with something you can actually use – a way to grow or sell more, cut down on waste, or finding new routes from field to fork.
Why should you care? Because it’s the future of all of us. We all live on this island. When the boat can’t come in, and people can’t get food, we feel it. The land, the water, our natural environment… it’s all part of the same tiny little rock. It’s about how we use our countryside and resources to appropriately feed our population. There’s a real energy behind the countryside right now.
We want to continue to build on the momentum of the Rural Economic Framework, the farmers’ markets, and the new farm shops, and push for greater support for farmers, food security and local businesses.
Regen Gathering is an opportunity to learn from and exchange practical lessons for the future of food and farming. It’s also about reconnecting people with their food.
This year is our biggest festival yet, with over 70 presentations, workshops, field safaris and demonstrations, alongside live music, local food, fireside storytelling and short films. An event for islanders of all ages.
Areas covered include biodiversity, composting, agro-forestry, sustainable grazing, market gardening, food and farming in education, community led farming initiatives, leather production, seed saving, succession, training pathways, nature-friendly gardening and how we can use our diets to protect our health and the planet.
