Dr Mike Andrews demonstrates layering in the diorites at Le Nez point
The Geology Section visited Le Nez point at Green Island on 13 August 2025 to study the layered diorites that outcrop at that locality. The visit was led by Dr Mike Andrews who explained the geological context of the diorites in the area and how to recognise the individual layers within the diorites.
This was a very successful and informative visit which was enjoyed by a large number of Section members, guests from other Société section and visitors to the Island.
