From September 8th to 10th, an archaeological conference entitled “Archaeology in Jersey: Exploring the Future of Research” will be organised by Société Jersiaise and Jersey Heritage. It will bring together researchers and specialists who will present the results of the Archaeological Research Framework commissioned by Jersey Heritage, with the aim of guiding future historic environment research through developer-funded archaeology, academic research, and site management policies. Additionally, several talks will present the results of recent archaeological research conducted on the islands of the Channel and Atlantic coasts, thus providing an opportunity to discuss the challenges of island archaeology in the years to come. The event will be free and open to the public. More information will be displayed in August.
