Members of the Société’s Architecture Section, Melanie Cavey, Steve Carter and Stuart Fell, have begun an assessment of Belmont Road, which lies close to the centre of St Helier, just off Bath Street.  This study will draw together knowledge of the development of the street over two centuries with an appreciation of the character and architectural qualities of its many houses, cottages and other buildings. It will also explore some of the interesting people that lived and worked there. This work is being supported by the Parish of St Helier, as part of its neighborhood improvement area initiative.
