With my involvement with the Jersey Guide Dogs book sales, I occasionally come across a book that is of interest not because of the printer, publisher or content, but because the name of a previous owner is on the flyleaf. Tracing the life of a previous owner using the historic Jersey Almanacs, census information and other sources makes for a fascinating pastime. We all suffer from lack of time to undertake all the activities which interest us but books really are a subject upon which we should spend more time. Come and join us for an hour or so on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 5.15 pm and learn more.
