Our excavation as part of the JICAS (Jersey International Centre of Advanced Studies) Archaeological Summer School 2024 is now over. A special thank to Helen Dawson PhD, MCIfA, the master of context sheets, for her exceptional direction. It was a pleasure to work by your side.
Over the past 2 weeks, our team made several discoveries, such as new features, flints (as usual!) and a very specific type of arrowhead! 🏹
Huge thank you all our international students and local volunteers for their hard work and dedication. Your efforts made this excavation a tremendous success! Société Jersiaise excavated the site for the first time in 1881, and now, 143 years later, we have made significant progress.
Looking forward to next year!
