Members’ Room 27th May 2025 at 7pm
On the 27th May at 7.00 pm in the Members Room at the Société Jersiaise in Pier Road, St Helier, the Environment Section are hosting a panel discussion on Energy Security for Jersey.
Four guests will present on opportunities to develop alternative energy solutions;
Deputy Jonathan Renouf (the previous Minister for the Environment) will present the need for Jersey to decarbonise and seek alternative forms of energy supply.
The Jersey Electricity Company will explain proposals for Solar Energy generation and sustainability in Jersey’s energy sector.
Mr Mark Leybourne, an expert on international developments of wind farms, will present a case for Jersey to explore offshore wind energy generation, and
Mr Greg Morel will present on opportunities for tidal energy generation.
Questions from the audience, to the panel will be invited after the presentations.
