Members of the Botany section went on a trip to Sark. It was during the hot spell so we did not aim to walk a long distance, however our main focus was to find the Festuca logifolia Blue Fescue. This delicate little plant grows in Guernsey and was recorded in Jersey in the 1930’s, but has not been recorded here since. So we were keen to see this plant and the habitat it prefers to grow in. Luckily we did indeed find it, it was the highlight of a great botanical day.
