The ‘Fête ès Rouaisons’ in Bricquebec over 3 days last weekend, was an opportunity to share our Norman Heritage with our Norman Neighbours. Around 20 people attended from Jersey, including a large contingent from the Language section of the SJ. We danced, sang, recited, listened to music, toured the craft stalls and of course ‘ate and drank.’ The Norman hospitality and weather were second to none.
One of the final events on the Sunday was a very enjoyable musical and heritage tour through the town. This and many other aspects of the weekend are inspiring us for next year’s ‘Fête’ which is to be held in Jersey.
