Geology Section members assess the geology of La Sergenté passage grave
The Geology Section has been tasked with providing geological assessments to contribute to the Conservation Plans for each of the various sites owned by the Société. This work commenced at the beginning of May with field visits to La Sergenté passage grave and Les Blanche Pierres (menhirs) in St Brelade. Later in May Section members visited the passage grave at Grantez in St Ouen. At each site the underlying geology, the types of rock used for construction and their probable origin was assessed to produce the required brief geological report.
