Les Chaboleurs, the traditional Jersey dance group performed at this year’s Faîs’sie d’Cidre at Hamptonne. Favourite dances such as La Bébée and Vive la Compangnie were presented, with some audience participation encouraged. Among the more recent dances added to the repertoire was Hallez sus l’s avithons, a Norman dance which involves rowing movements. If anyone is interested in joining in with some traditional Jersey, Guernsey, Norman, and Breton dances, just get in contact to find out about Les Chaboleurs’ regular practice sessions.
