In April, the Library welcomed a television crew from ITV, who visited to interview two brothers, Christopher and John du Feu, regarding a diary written by their mother, Nan Le Ruez (Annie M. du Feu, née Le Ruez), during the German Occupation of Jersey. The diary is preserved in the Lord Coutanche Library.

The interview focused on their mother’s encounter with Jimmy Cooper on Liberation Day — a meeting that would eventually lead to their marriage several years later.
The diary forms part of a collection of journals and other documents donated by Nan Le Ruez’s sons to the Société Jersiaise in 2014.

The interview should be aired in an ITV special programme on Liberation Day.
