Our Numismatic Section Chair Dave Le Long was invited to join the 23rd Jersey St Lawrence Beavers, to give a presentation on the origins of money. The talk and coin demonstrations given by Dave helped earn the Beavers their all important Money Badge!
The Beavers very much enjoyed their educational visit, with some great feedback:
“I just wanted to say thank you so much for coming this evening and showing the Beavers such a fantastic collection of coins. I don’t think the Beavers or the parents could quite believe what they were seeing was real! What a treat.
Several parents have sent me messages just now saying thank you for the penny too. The Beavers were absolutely chuffed and you never know, that could be the first coin in their own collection!
I’d say the selection of coins were perfect for that age group. My favourite part are the question and facts they share. Adorable”.
