Come and join the Botany Section – Saturday 12th April 2025 at 10am
Location: Le Port, St Ouen, meet in the car park. All welcome.

Purple dewplant Disphyma crassifolium is a plant native to South Africa and first recorded in Jersey in 1961 outside a garden. It isn’t native to Jersey but has recently made its way to St Ouen’s Bay, catching a ride from a garden or on the feet of a bird.
It’s threatening our wildlife due to it’s ability to spread rapidly, creating mats of foliage that swamp native plants and create a hostile habitat or local invertebrates and pollinators.
Come and join the team and give a helping hand to our environment!
Please bring garden gloves and a small trowel or small gloves.
We look forward to seeing you there!
