The Société Jersiaise is delighted to announce that Rue du Scez in St Martin has been named the winner of the 2026 Scenic Lanes Competition.

Now held in spring to better capture the Island’s natural vibrancy, the competition recognises not only the beauty of Jersey’s lanes but also environmentally sensitive maintenance and biodiversity.

This year’s judges were impressed by Rue du Scez’s mature hedging, attractive stone walls, and rich wildlife, including a variety of butterflies and native plants. However, it was the lane’s spectacular sea views that ultimately set it apart.
