It is with great sadness that the Société Jersiaise announces the passing of our former President and long-standing member, Roger Long, at the age of 96.
Roger dedicated more than 60 years to the Société, serving as Chair of the Entomology Section, Chair of the Publications Sub-Committee, and Editor of the Société Jersiaise Annual Bulletin. His knowledge, passion and dedication to Jersey’s natural history inspired generations of members and left a lasting legacy.
Roger will be remembered with great affection and gratitude.
Members, friends and colleagues are warmly invited to join us for a Celebration of Life in honour of Roger and his remarkable contribution to the Société Jersiaise. To assist with arrangements, please RSVP to hello@societe.je by midday on 13 November.
